Best family friendly hotels in Majorca – and they have great TripAdvisor reviews
SUNNY Majorca is one of the most family friendly places to visit in Spain.
Many of the hotels on the Balearic island cater to those travelling with kids by providing family rooms, dedicated play areas and evening entertainment.
We’ve picked out some of the best ones on the island, whether you’re travelling with toddlers or teens.
All of these have had the seal of approval from other families on TripAdvisor, too.
Iberostar Cristina, Playa de Palma
Iberostar Cristina is one of the easiest resorts to get to from the airport and is close to the capital Palma as well.
The beach is within walking distance but there’s also a huge indoor and outdoor pool on site.
There are three different kids’ clubs to choose from – Monkey Club (from 4 to 7 years old), Dolphin Club (from 8 to 12 years old), Eagle Club (from 13 to 17 years old) – as well as a play area.
And in the evening there are live performances as well.
Hipotels Hipocampo Playa, Cala Millor
Cala Millor has some of the best beaches in Majorca and Hipotels Hipocampo Playa is right on the seafront.
The hotel has its own pools too, including one just for kids.
For those with younger children, the hotel also has strollers and highchairs that you can borrow and there are dedicated play areas as well.
Plus, you can book fun days out in the nearby area, from horseback riding to bicycle tours.
Hotel Victoria Gran Melia, Palma de Mallorca
Hotel Victoria Gran Melia is located by the marina of the capital Palma so it doesn’t have the sprawling resort feel of some of the other hotels on our list.
But it is well placed for visiting the city itself, and you can rent bikes here to explore the region.
The hotel itself has a decent sized pool, with an adjacent kids’ pool.
Family rooms are available too for those travelling with younger kids.
Castillo Hotel Son Vida, Palma de Mallorca
Set outside the main capital, Castillo Hotel Son Vida is the hotel to go for if you want to get away from the crowd and want a bit of luxury.
Family rooms and villas are available but as the hotel is only open to those over 16, it’s only suitable for those travelling with older children.
The hotel was refurbished in 2022 so just about everything is new.
On site there’s a spa and golf course, or you can drive out to visit the rural villages in the area.
Prinsotel La Dorada, Playa de Muro
Prinsotel La Dorada is ideally located for the beaches at Alcudia Bay and is close to the Albufera Nature Reserve, too.
The enormous pool is its biggest attraction, and it includes a kids’ pool.
Elsewhere there’s a dedicated play area for younger children, and tennis, basketball and volleyball court for teens and adults.
Evening entertainment is available at the resort as well.
Finca Hotel Son Palou, Orient
Set in the mountains, Finca Hotel Son Palou is a Majorcan farm-style hotel with plenty of outdoor space so it’s great for active families.
There’s a decent-sized pool outside with great views of the mountains.
During the day, you’ll probably want to make the most of the location by going on hikes and bicycle rides.
There are also puzzles and board games to keep you busy.
Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa, , Playa de Muro
Grupotel Parc Natural & Spa is right on the seafront but you can enjoy its large indoor and outdoor swimming pools too.
Those with younger children will be able to drop them off at the kids club while they enjoy some downtime in the spa.
Bike rental is available, as is evening entertainment.
It’s also ideally located for visiting the Albufera Nature Reserve.
British Airways currently has a sale on with £300 off holidays.
EasyJet’s sale has flights from £13.49 each way.
You can also snap up bargain breaks with Loveholidays.
