Best Blue Monday travel deals – including Disney World, UK breaks & long-hauls

BLUE Monday is regarded as the most depressing day of the year, so if you’re having a particularly bad case of the January blues, you’re not alone.

Thankfully there are plenty of travel deals breaks to make you feel better.

From discounted park tickets at Disney World to £119 European city breaks and UK theme parks, we’ve rounded up some of the best offers to take advantage of.

TUI

You could bag £300 savings with the code ‘LH300‘ when spending over £3,000.

Alternatively, the code “SALE” will save you £250 when your booking value is more than £2,500 and £100 on holidays over £1,000.

The discount is valid on holidays departing between May 1 and October 31, 2023. Here are some of the best deals we’ve found:

Alton Towers

Alton Towers has launched its half-term deals.

You can book an overnight stay from £194 per family, with access to the park, water park and golf course in February.

The deal works out to £48.50pp for two adults and two children.

All the breaks include your overnight stay at the Alton Towers Resort with free breakfast, access to the 9-hole golf course, Sharkbait Reef by SEA LIFE, Towers Street and Mutiny Bay.

The offer is available from February 10 to February 26.

Lastminute.com

Lastminute.com has up to £300 off sunny winter escapes,  summer beach holidays and year-round city breaks.

To save £100 off your ‘Flight+Hotel’ packages or holidays, you can use code ‘100JANSALEUK‘ on bookings over £1,250.

If your booking is over £2,500, the code ‘200JANSALEUK’ will save you £200, while for £300 off, your booking will have to be more than £3,500 with code ‘300JANSALEUK‘.  

You can also secure your holiday with deposits from £50.

To bag the discounts, you’ll have to book by January 31, 2023.

The breaks available range from two to seven nights.

British Airways

British Airways has launched a sale with deals from £119pp, including flights.

The discounted holidays are available on European beach getaways, city breaks, long-hauls to the US, Caribbean and more.

You’ll need to be quick, though, as the offer expires at midnight on January 31.

Disney World & Universal Orlando

If you’re planning a big Florida holiday with plenty of theme park time, it’s worth booking your tickets now.

You can now get adult tickets for the same price as kids’ for some of the biggest attractions in Orlando with attractiontickets.com.

Tickets to all of the Orlando attractions it sells are available with a discount, and you can even book for 2024.

The Universal Orlando 3-Park Explorer gives you unlimited access to Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay.

Prices currently start from £309pp for both adults and children, which is similar to what you would pay if you bought a 3-day park ticket at the gate.

You can also snap up a Disney 14-Day Magic Ticket.

This is only available on selected dates, but prices start from £569pp, the same as a 7-day ticket.

With this ticket, you’ll get unlimited access to all six of the Disney parks and have 14 days to make the most of it.
