Below Deck’s Kate says chef Ben’s fiancée will be ‘best stepmom’

Below Deck’s Kate Chastain has further fuelled rumours that co-star chef Ben Robinson is the father of her newborn child.

Ben’s paternity was questioned following the birth of the Bravo star’s baby, with some fans saying the little one “looked so much like him”.

Kate announced the arrival of her first child, son Sullivan Cay, on Instagram last week and hadn’t yet disclosed the identity of his dad.

One fan noted that the adorable newborn was “100000% bens kid”, while another commented that the baby “looks like a mini chef Ben”.

Kate actually shut down these rumours days later, telling fans on Twitter: “The only thing this handsome guy has in common with any chef is the tendency to get emotional around meal times.”

However, reigniting rumours and seemingly contradicting herself, Chastain’s latest post on social media has thrown up more questions.

Announcing only yesterday that he had proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Ben surprised his followers after saying he had popped the question.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “After a wonderful 4 year relationship with my love Kiara I decided to take the next step and propose.

“I feel like the luckiest man alive! Thank you to my friends and family for all of your support.

“I couldn’t have done it without you, and obviously thank you to Kiara for saying yes and making an honest man out of me, I love you.”

Some thought the post meant the baby “definitely wasn’t Ben’s” after his announcement.

However, Kate took to her Instagram story to congratulate the happy couple, saying his partner Kiara Cabral is going to be the “best stepmom”

“Congratulations!” Chastain over a screenshot of a news article about his proposal, adding: “She’s going to be the best stepmom ever.”

Taking to Twitter, fan @bribrim responded: “We knew… we knew.”

While @DanielD52079741 wrote: “Congrats Guys..all 4 of you especially Sullivan.”

Seeing the post’s funny side, @laurie_llj replied: “Savage!! I love your sense of humour.”
