Singer Bebe Rexha was photographed Friday night wearing protective goggles during the second to last show of her “Best F’n Night Of My Life” tour after the singer was struck in the eye by a fan who hurled a cell phone at her.
Rexha, 33, donned the shades and sparkly blue top while performing her hit song “I’m Good.”
Prior to wearing the superhero-esq shades, the “Say my name” singer told audience members she only had two rules for the night: Don’t throw phones and have fun.
The high-energy show featured several of Rexha’s hits including “I’m Not High, I’m in Love,” “Miracle Man,” and “I’m a Mess and Sacrifice.”
A clip of the singer wearing the goggles was posted on social media where several of the singer’s fans appeared delighted at the singer’s new accessory.
“Wearing them safety glasses cause she ain’t playing no more,” commented one user.
“Osha approved safety glasses,” laughed a second person referring to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
One user called the usage of the goggles a “smart move” while another complimented Rexha on finishing the tour off strong.
The Post reached out to Rexha for comment.
Rexha’s new fashion statement came after she was forced to cancel the remainder of her show in New York and required three stitches after a crazed fan hurled a cell phone and hit the singer right in the eye.
However, the singer got back up on stage during the Philadelphia leg of the tour and joked that while they were all there to have a good time “just no phones on my face tonight please, I beg of you.”
The man, identified as 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, was later detained by police and charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault and harassment.
According to police, Malvagna claimed that he thought throwing the phone at the pop star would be “funny.”
Rexha’s assault is one of a string of similar on-stage attacks.
Days later, Ava Max, 29, sustained an eye injury while performing in Los Angeles after a fan managed to get on stage and slap the “Not Your Barbie Girl” singer.
Country singer Kelsea Ballerini, 29, was also attacked on the stage by a fan who chucked a bracelet at the “If You Go Down” singer forcing her to halt the show while.
The country singer issued a statement Thursday via Instagram stating that she was fine and healing.
“Hi. I’m fine,” wrote the singer. ”Someone threw a bracelet, it hit me in the eye and it more or so just scared me than hurt me.”
“We all may have triggers and layers of fears way deeper than what is shown,” continued Ballerini. ” And that’s why I walked offstage to calm down and make sure myself, band and crew, and the crowd felt safe to continue.”
“That’s all I ever want, is for shows to feel like a safe place for us all. I love you and appreciate all the concern,” said Ballerini before adding that she plans to make the last two shows of her tour the “best yet.”
The shocking moment went viral mere minutes after Ballerini departed the stage following a quick chat with her violinist who rushed over to check on the singer.
“Can we just talk about what happened,” Ballerini asked the crowd when she returned to the stage. “All I care about is keeping everyone safe. If you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know.”
It is currently unknown if the person responsible was apprehended by authorities.
