Chart-topper Bebe Rexha still cannot Bebe-lieve that she got to work with her idol Dolly Parton.

In an exclusive interview with Guilty Pleasures, the Meant To Be singer spilled the beans about collaborating with the country music legend on Seasons, a timely tune from her upcoming third album.

‘We connected to Dolly and sent her the song. A week later – it was so chill – she sent us her vocal, and I cried the first time I heard it,’ Bebe, 33, recalled. ‘It’s about the seasons changing and also wanting to change for the better, after getting stuck in bad habits.’

The songwriter said Dolly, 77, was ‘so beautiful’ on her verse, ‘talking about looking at herself in the mirror and still feeling like a child, nobody warning you that, when you grow older, you’re born and you die alone’.

Bebe continued: ‘It’s a cool perspective because you’re getting it from her, where she is in her life versus where I’m at in mine… no matter what age you are, you’re searching.’

And Dolly didn’t disappoint when they later met in person: ‘It was everything I expected: kind and beautiful, inside and out,’ Bebe said.

Another collaborator was rapper Snoop Dogg, 51, on stoner song Satellite. ‘He called me on FaceTime at seven in the morning, smoking a joint,’ Bebe said. ‘He was like, “Yo! Check your inbox”. I listened to it and was blown away.’

Bebe, whose single Heart Wants What It Wants is out now, hopes to one day write for Queen Bey. ‘If she would ever do a country album, that would be really cool… something different for Beyoncé,’ she beamed.

It certainly would be Rex-tra special…
