Beautiful British coastal hike is ‘breathtaking’
The pandemic might be over but the UK’s staycation holiday craze shows no signs of slowing down.
With so many stunning natural wonders all over the UK, it can be hard to settle on a staycation destination.
Luckily, the outdoor experts at Blacks have shared their tips to enjoy one of the UK’s best hikes.
Chrissy Raider, team member at Blacks, recommends the Pembrokeshire Coast Path as one of the best staycation destinations for hiking.
She described the route from St David’s Head to Aber Pwell as “breathtaking” and said it “encapsulates the natural beauty and rugged charm of Wales”.
Chrissy added: “Walkers are lucky enough to see panoramic views of the Celtic Sea, with its azure waters stretching as far as the eye can see.
“The rugged cliffs, carved by centuries of wind and waves, are a sight for sore eyes providing a dramatic backdrop to the pristine beaches below.”
Pembrokeshire’s beaches are some of the UK’s most famous with many unspoilt spots to enjoy.
The outdoor expert said: “The path takes hikers to Aber Pwll, where salt marshes and mudflats provide a haven for wild birds.
“The section from St Davids Head to Aber Pwll is a true gem along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
“Whether you seek adventure, solitude, or simply an opportunity to connect with nature, this segment will leave an indelible mark on your memory.”
Tourists could also check out Pembrokeshire Castle to learn more about the region’s interesting history.
St David’s is Britain’s smallest city and the Cathedral is the city’s most famous landmark and was once a pilgrimage site.
Some of the region’s best rated beaches include Barafundle Bay and Whitesands Park while tourists can enjoy seafood at restaurants in Tenby.
