Beach bar just an hour from UK city that punters say is ‘like being abroad’
A UK beach bar located along the Irish Sea is “like being abroad”, according to punters.
The Bus Yard, perched in Merseyside’s Crosby – has become a firm favourite among locals.
The space – which features a blue double decker bus at the epicentre – serves up a bevy of cocktails, mouth-watering street food and live music.
The coastal offering – which sits along the Irish Sea – kicked off its second year of operations following a three-year agreement with Sefton Council to open between April and September.
Andy Laird, who runs The Bus Yard with business partners Anthony Smith and Darren Ryder, revealed that the spring and summer hangout has attracted a wide range of punters – with individuals, dog walkers and families bringing the kids all making an appearance.
Andy said: “It’s reached another level, which is great.
“It’s good to see we’ve created something from nothing.
“The before on the site there’s nothing there and now there’s a full venue, a full house.”
The Bus Yard has thrown in a few changes for 2023, including a booth container with miniature chalets and a cabana for extra shelter.
Andy said: “The vibe up there is absolutely amazing. People like it; it’s like being abroad at home.”
The Bus Yard has made a few changed for its 2023 opening, including a “quirky” cocktail menu, cabanas for extra shelter, and some changes to its food menu – including a ‘Sunday Yorkshire’ wrap.
Andy continued: “It works, the three of us doing what we’re doing.
“We’re pushing boundaries constantly, we’re driven and on the same page.”
