Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo and boyfriend Dominic Roque have taken the biggest step in their relationship so far, as the celebrity couple announced their engagement on Wednesday, July 19.

Alonzo, in her Instagram post, shared that she was having a shoot with photographer Mark Nicdao on Tuesday, when the “Finding You” actor popped the question.

“It was a balmy afternoon in Las Casas. I was there for a shoot, but little did I know that the next thing that would happen would change our lives forever,” shared Alonzo who, after turning around as instructed, was surprised to see her boyfriend, kneeling before her with a ring in sight.

“In the middle of the shoot, Mark Nicdao kept telling me to turn around because he wanted to shoot the back side of my dress, I found it a bit odd, but when I turned around, I found Dom kneeling with a box in his hand,” recalled Alonzo of yesterday’s events.

The “Start-Up PH” star said that she has had her fair share of proposal scenes, but claimed that “nothing beats the real thing.”

“You see, I have done so many proposal scenes in my entire career, but nothing beats the real thing. I have been doing it all wrong!” said the “Battle of the Judges” mentor who also shared how time stopped when Roque delivered his proposal speech.

“Everything went in slow motion. And I felt different emotions all at the same timejoy, excitement, love. I started bawling… But I didn’t want that moment to end. I want this real thing to happen forever… and right then there… In front of the people we love… we decided on forever,” shared Alonzo.

The momentous event was witnessed by Alonzo and Roque’s loved ones.

The couple revealed their relationship to the public in 2021. Recently, they were speculated to have already been engaged because of throwback photos Roque posted on Instagram. These rumors would, however, be denied by Alonzo. EDV
