Bayern Munich line up improved £30million Mane transfer bid
BAYERN MUNICH are preparing an improved £30million bid for Liverpool ace Sadio Mane, according to reports.
The German champions offered £21m with an additional £4.6m in add-ons if they win the Champions League.
But according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are hoping to get around £42.5m for the 30-year-old who has one year left on his deal, which would help fund a replacement.
One of the targets the Reds would like to replace Mane with is highly rated Benfica forward Darwin Nunez.
Jurgen Klopp got to see the player in the flesh during the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Nunez scored two against Liverpool across both legs and was denied a hat-trick at Anfield by the offside flag.
His performances saw Klopp publicly speak about him.
Klopp said: “Extremely good looking boy, huh? And a decent player as well.
“Really good, really good. I knew before, of course, but he played pretty much in front of me with his tough battles with Ibrahima Konate.
“He was physically strong, quick, was calm around his finish. Good, really good.

“I always say in these situations if he is healthy, it’s a big career ahead of him.”
Despite Klopp’s high praise, Liverpool won’t pay over the odds for the 22-year-old Uruguayan, who can play both out on the left and as a No9.
The Reds could also face stiff competition from a number of top European clubs.
Manchester United, Newcastle and Paris Saint-Germain remain keen on the forward, who netted 34 across all competitions last term.
