Banksy UK map: Where to find original Banksys

Banksy’s artwork is iconic, but many of his most famous pieces have been lost in council cleanups or they’ve been sold off to private buyers. The ones that still survive are well worth a visit. With Banksys appearing up and down the country, chances are there could be one of his famous pieces near you.

Banksy has once again made headlines after claiming responsibility for his latest creations across the East coast.

The artist released a video on his Instagram page showing his pieces of street art titled “A Great British Spraycation”.

His latest pieces of street art have appeared in towns across East Anglia.

The artist has not claimed the work as his own yet.

If he does, fans will welcome the news as it suggests the artist may be continuing with his “Spraycation”.

Despite not being confirmed as a Banksy yet, the council has hired a security guard to protect it from vandalism.

Banksy has created many pieces of satirical street art throughout his career, which started in the 90s.

DON’T MISS:

Sadly many of his pieces have been lost due to vandalism or have been sold off to private collectors.

The latest piece to be destroyed appeared on the inside of a London Underground train.

The piece was called ‘If You Don’t Mask, You Don’t Get’.

It was painted inside a Circle Line service carriage.

Unfortunately, by the time Banksy claimed the work as his own via his Instagram account, cleaners had wiped the work away.

A TFL source told BBC: “It was treated like any other graffiti on the network.

“The job of the cleaners is to make sure the network is clean, especially given the current climate,” they said.

Banksy himself has even famously destroyed his creations.

He destroyed an iconic piece, Girl With Balloon, after it has been sold at auction.

The work was shredded in its frame after the winning bid of more than £1m was made and accepted at auction.
