Bake Off star Cherish Finden fires back at claim she’s the ‘bad cop’ of show

Cherish Finden has hit back at claims she is considered the “bad cop” on the programme when critiquing the dishes created by the show contestants.

In a joint interview with her co-star Benoit Blin, the 55-year-old laughed off the idea that she is the stricter judge out of the two.

“No, I think I’m pretty nice on telly. I always have a good laugh. I’m worse in my kitchen,” she replied.

When quizzed if Benoit is the “good cop”, he told Radio Times: “It’s just perception.

“Cherish puts on her little round glasses and puts her hair into a bun and suddenly she looks like a headmistress. Then the ruler comes out – you’re back at school! Typically we say the same things, so it’s perception.”
