Alison Hammond has interviewed some of the world’s biggest stars – so no wonder she wants her own talk show.

In an exclusive catch-up with Guilty Pleasures, the This Morning favourite addressed the lack of female-fronted chat series.

‘There isn’t any. Do you know what, we need to put it on the vision board, definitely,’ said Alison. ‘I’m open to a chat show, without a doubt. It would be a wonderful thing for the nation.’

And after rising to fame as a contestant on Big Brother in 2002, the 48-year-old presenter is peeved she hasn’t been approached to oversee ITV2’s upcoming reboot.

‘Listen, if I don’t host it, they’ve missed a trick, let’s be honest. But I haven’t been asked, no – fuming!’ she quipped. ‘Heigh-ho, that’s life. If they can’t see the magic that I would bring to that Big Brother situation, then what can I say?’

Next up, Alison will be at the EE Bafta Film Awards, at London’s Royal Festival Hall, as host of the access-all-areas Bafta Studio. ‘It’s the stuff you get to see when they (the winners) go off with their award. I’m going to be looking after them, guiding them through the evening, finding out the gossip,’ she said.

In the past, the mum-of-one has won over the likes of Beyoncé, Harrison Ford and Hugh Jackman – and this weekend she’s keeping her peepers peeled for a trio of charming Irishmen.

‘I quite like Brendan Gleeson. So I go from him to a bit of Colin Farrell, and then I go from Colin Farrell to a little bit of Daryl McCormack.

‘I’m going to have to remain professional, and I will be bringing my professionalism, because this is Bafta, this ain’t no joke!’ she laughed.

The Baftas will be broadcast on Sunday at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer
