MANILA, Philippines — Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakes suffered back-to-back losses to the Kawasaki Brave Thunders, 79-69, in the 2022-23 B.League season on Saturday at Todoroki Arena.
Coming off a breakthrough win over his brother Thirdy and San-En last week to end an 18-game skid, Ravena and the Lakes suffered two consecutive losses this week as they slid to a league-worst 5-33 record.
Ravena scored 15 points, shooting 3-of-6 from deep in 26 minutes of play.
Shiga absorbed an 87-77 loss to Kawasaki on Friday.
Nick Fazekas led the Brave Thunders with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists, while Michael Young Jr. added 15 points from the bench to improve their record to 23-15.

Meanwhile, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. tallied 21 points, five rebounds, and two steals but the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins fell to the Chiba Jets, 96-73, at Funabashi Arena.
Parks’ stellar game went for naught as Nagoya saw its two-game winning streak getting snapped and fell to a 27-10 record.
Thirdy Ravena and the San-En NeoPhoenix also suffered a tough defeat, yielding to the Ryukyu Golden Kings, 82-75, at Hamamatsu Arena.
The younger Ravena delivered 12 points, two rebounds and two assists but he couldn’t save his team from absorbing its second consecutive loss and dropping to a 16-21 card.
Ryukyu, which continues to wait for Filipino import Carl Tamayo, earned its fifth straight win with former PBA import Allen Durham leading the way with 17 points, six assists, and five rebounds to improve to a 28-9 record.
Dwight Ramos was limited to just two points, two rebounds, two assists, and a steal as the Levanga Hokkaido got dominated by the Utsonomiya Brex, 101-73, at Brex Arena.
Ramos and Hokkaido absorbed their third straight defeat, sliding to 8-29.
Matthew Wright also struggled with just two points on 2-of-12 shooting but had six rebounds and two assists as Kyoto Hannaryz (14-23) suffered an 81-68 loss to Osaka Evassa at Kyoto City Gymnasium.
