Avatar: New Animated Series in the Works with Earth Bending Avatar after Aang and Korra

Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the most prominent animes of this generation. It has introduced many fans to the anime genre. The series started with the journey of Aang learning all the forms of nature bending while fighting against the oppressive fire nation. Later, the fans saw The Legend of Korra which was set 70 years after the events of the original series.

Now, according to the latest report by Avatar News, a completely new series could be in the works. This one will have an all-new earth bending Avatar that comes after Aang and Korra. As of now there is no specific release date, but fans can expect the series to arrive in 2025 on Paramount+. It is assumed that the series will be set 100 years after the events of The Legend of Korra.

Avatar movie also in works

In addition, an adult Aang movie is also in development for release on October 10, 2025. The plan is to release the movie first and then the series so that they can tie in both the plots for a broader plan that Avatar Studios has in mind.

In the meantime, fans can look forward to 2023. In 2023, Avatar Studios plans to release a live action series which will feature Young Aang. After season 1 premieres, season 2 will feature again in 2025. 2025 looks like the year for Avatar, so all the diehard fans will have to wait till then to watch the rumored content.
