Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Features Detailed in Leak – Aerial Combat, Crafting, and Skills Confirmed
Just a few minutes ago, Ubisoft leaker @ScriptLeaksR6 shared the first detailed information on the features of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, the upcoming open world action/adventure game set in James Cameron’s blockbuster movie franchise. The format of the info is reminiscent of a product sheet, which means Ubisoft has one ready to share with the press and the public relatively soon. Among the various features, aerial combat is confirmed as well as crafting, skills, and weapon customization.
Abducted by the RDA, you, a Na’vi child, are trained and molded to serve their purpose. You must reconnect with your ancient heritage and join the other clans to protect Pandora.
BECOME NA’VI
Harness your incredible strength and agility while customizing your character; crafting new gear, and upgrading skills and weapons to fit your playstyle.
MASTER MULTIPLE COMBAT STYLES
Fight off the dangers of Pandora as you embrace the precision of traditional Na’vi weapons, including your bow and spear-thrower, or leverage your human training with more destructive weapons, such as assault rifle and shotgun.
SOAR THE SKIES
Capture and bond with your personal banshee—a large, dragon-like winged predator that will give you an edge in aerial combat and can be used for traveling long distances.
EXPLORE A WORLD OF WONDER & DANGER
Unfold the epic wonders of the Western Frontier – a never-before-seen continent of Pandora. Journey through beautiful yet unpredictable open world regions, where lowering your guard can lead to deadly mistakes.
The leaker, who just two days ago was assuming his Twitter account would soon be closed down by Ubisoft, previously said the official pre-orders for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora would be opening soon. He also circulated two new images of the game and revealed that it would likely only feature first-person view during gameplay.
First announced over six years ago, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is powered by the latest version of Ubisoft Massive’s acclaimed Snowdrop engine. The developers previously said it would feature extensive ray traced features, advanced cloud rendering technology and next-generation AI for the NPCs that populate its world.
Originally scheduled to be released in 2022, it was later delayed to fiscal year 2023. If the recent rumors of a delay for Assassin’s Creed Mirage and The Crew Motorfest turn out to be true, then a lot of Ubisoft’s 2023 performance would likely ride on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
The game will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
