Aussie Olympian Scotty James living it up with billionaire F1 heiress Chloe Stroll

Aussie snowboarder Scotty James and F1 heiress Chloe Stroll were living their best lives in the south of France before their wedding.

Aussie Winter Olympian Scotty James’ relationship with a billionaire F1 heiress is back in the spotlight as the couple prepare to tie the knot.

Snowboarding champion James and Canadian singer Chloe Stroll got engaged last year and are living it up ahead of their wedding.

According to reports, the pair will say “I do” in Cannes and they looked like they were having fun during their engagement party aboard a yacht on the French Riviera this week.

Stroll is the sister of Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll and daughter of Lawrence Stroll, the executive chairman of Aston Martin’s F1 team who is believed to be worth around $4.2 billion.

Stroll posted several updates to her Instagram story as friends and family joined the happy couple on a boat. In one post, a menu card celebrating their “engagement party” could be seen while in another snap, Stroll and James were standing on a table and embracing.

Another Instagram post referred to Stroll, dressed in a white dress, as the “bride to be”.

The Daily Mail reports Hollywood icons Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, as well as fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger, were among the famous faces on deck for the weekend’s festivities.

James, who won a silver medal at this year’s Winter Olympics in Beijing, proposed in the snow in Switzerland last November.

The couple, who celebrated their three-year anniversary in April, announced the happy news of their engagement on their respective social media accounts at the time.

“Hey, we’re getting married … everyone this is my fiancee,” James said in a video posted to Instagram.

“This is my fiance,” Stroll screamed in delight in the video.

She captioned her post “Forever” accompanied by a ring emoji, along with a photo of the moment James proposed in the snow.

Chloe revealed in 2020 Lance had actually set her up with Scotty and they met in New York.

“Lance actually called me and said, ‘I think I just found the guy you’re going to marry’,” she told the Herald Sun.

“It was kind of strange. I had a conference in Park City (Utah), which was where his next competition was the same weekend and a lot of random things happened.

“Scotty was very cute. We dated for about four months, or as he likes to say, we got to know each other, before he officially asked me to be his girlfriend.”

“I just connected with her in New York and went out to dinner with her at a place called Motel Morris in Chelsea and the rest is history,’’ James recalled.

“She’s quite a talented musician.

“It’s been really cool watching her do her thing. She’s always had a huge passion for music and it’s the industry she wants to be a part of. She’s really enjoying it.”

James was Australia’s flag-bearer at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal in the halfpipe.

The 27-year-old went one better at the 2022 Games, claiming silver in the halfpipe — denied gold only by a stellar performance from Japan’s Ayumu Hirano.

“I am absolutely over the moon and I came out, gave it my best shot, that’s all we can ask for as athletes,” James said after the event.

“I work really hard, it’s been an incredible journey and to stand on the podium at the Olympic Games is an incredible feat.

“For me, as an Australia, aside from just being here and to be even competing with these guys, from where we come from is just a lot of pride.

“If I can display that and ride like that and just pour my heart into what I’m doing then I’ve had success.”
