Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to Arrive on Steam With the Game’s Final Post-Launch Update; Here Is All We Know

Following days of leaks and teases, Ubisoft has finally confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be making its way to Steam.

Ever since the latest title of the iconic series dropped in 2020, Valhalla has only been available on Epic Games Store. However, from December 6, the game will be available to purchase on the Valve-owned platform.

Set during the era of Vikings, the Ubisoft Montreal-developed title will launch on Steam, with the game’s final content update as part of its two-year post-launch support.

In a blog post detailing about the upcoming update, Ubisoft talked about the upcoming Title Update 1.6.2, which features The Last Chapter. Following the Wrath of the Druids and Dawn of Ragnarök DLCs, The Last Chapter will provide a fitting conclusion to the Eivor’s saga in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

To access The Last Chapter on December 6, players will have to complete the following tasks:

  • Finish off the main storyline pledging to all territories of England
  • Finish the mythical story arcs of Asgard and Jotunheim
  • Upgrade your settlement to level 5 and construct the Jomsviking barracks
  • Kill all targets of the Order of the Ancients and unveil its leader

Ubisoft also provided an update on the highly requested New Game+ mode, by stating that it won’t be adding this feature. The developers stated that the game’s depth gave them “limited options to make replayability unique and rewarding.”

However, the developers have revealed that fans will be able to keep Eivor’s hood up in the game at all times, through the in-game options menu. Moreover, Ubisoft also mentioned that it will be revealing more surprises about the upcoming update in the coming days.
