Ash Barty’s fiance will be cheering her on at the Australian Open, but he has another task to do before he can be by the world No. 1’s side.
Garry Kissick will be cheering on his fiance Ash Barty when the Australian Open gets underway next week.
But before that, he will be helping out the younger generation when the Aussie summer of golf kicks up a gear this week.
Kissick will be a caddie at the Australian PGA Championship, which starts on Thursday at Royal Brisbane.

He is a PGA trainee professional at the Brookwater Golf and Country Club in Brisbane, where he met Barty back in 2016. The happy couple announced their engagement late last year.
Kissick will be carrying the bag of good friend Louis Dobbelaar, who has just turned pro and will part of the field at the Australian PGA.
“Gaz and I get on really well so it’s good to put him through his paces out on the golf course,” Dobbelaar jokingly told Channel 9.
“The staff bag now is definitely getting pretty heavy now so he’s got to stay fit for me.”
Once his caddie duties are completed, Kissick will fly down to Melbourne where he will be supporting Barty as she aims to win a third grand slam title at the Australian Open.
Among the leading contenders to win the Australian PGA are veteran Geoff Ogilvy and rising Australian star Min Woo Lee. The 23-year-old has just received his invitation to make his debut at the prestigious US Masters this year.
