Asda shopper divides opinion after parking in prohibited area during heavy rain
AN Asda shopper has divided fellow customers after choosing to park in an unusual spot.
Social media photos showed a red car parked underneath the trolley shelter during a rain storm in an Asda car park.
The car was spotted at Fraserbrough Asda sheltering from the storm in Aberdeenshire.
A photo was posted to a local community page where people were all reacting the same.
It can be seen parked between two other cars underneath the shelter during a rain pour.
The user captioned the photo: “New type of trolley at Asda.”
The post has so far racked up more than 470 likes and 116 shares.
People were quick to respond to the picture on Facebook to laugh at the driver’s parking spot and to praise the driver’s parking skills and initiative.
One Facebook user said: “That’s what you call initiative.”
Another said: “Great idea.
“Wish I’d thought of that.”
Anther said: “Great idea that!
“Genius!”
Another did recommend however: “Great idea but they should have drove in head first so they can put their shopping in the boot.”
But others had mixed views – one said: “Funny but also stupid who does that sort of thing.”
Others also took to the comments to slam the driver’s behaviour saying: “Wtaf.”
Another unimpressed person simply just said: “Really?”
One other commented: “That’s bad imagine trying to do that now.”
Another local said they had “seen it all” in the comments.
It comes as a shocked dad was hit with a £100 fine after leaving his car over-hanging a parking space by three inches.
Julian Griffiths, 59, had parked up for 10 minutes as he nipped in to his local SportsDirect.
But in a rush to grab knee-supports for his son, the civil servant left his Renault Clio at an angle meaning his motor was overhanging white lines by 7cm.
