Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Notts Forest build-up, Ramsey targered, Vlahovic LATEST, Maitland-Niles to Roma complete
Good morning Arsenal fans
Arsenal have officially announced Ainsley Maitland-Niles has joined Roma on loan for the rest of the season.
The deal does not include the option to buy and comes after Maitland-Niles made just two Premier League starts this campaign.
Having spent north of £30million on Tammy Abraham in the summer, the Giallorossi will have to raise funds through player sales in order to afford a permanent move at a later date.
The midfielder joins compatriots Abraham and Chris Smalling in the Italian capital.
Meanwhile, Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic would ‘love’ to play under Tottenham boss Antonio Conte.
Vlahovic is a major Arsenal target amid the ongoing January transfer window and this sort of ambition poses as a concern.
According to 90Min, the striker is a big fan of Spurs manager Conte and would like to join forces with him one day.
The Serbia international, who is willing to wait until the summer to move away from the Viola, is also linked with Tottenham who are likely to lose star man Harry Kane in the summer.
And Arsenal are looking to splash £40m on Lyon star Bruno Guimaraes, according to the Evening Standard.
But the Gunners face competition as Newcastle and Everton are both also claimed to be keeping tabs on Guimaraes during the January transfer window.
Lyon are unlikely to sanction a move in January, but a potential end of season transfer could well be on the cards.
Guimaraes confirmed last summer that he was approached from the north Londoners and said: “I have never hidden my desire to play in the Premier League.”
Finally, Arsenal have joined the transfer race to sign Aaron Ramsey and bring him back to the Emirates.
Ramsey has been told he can leave Juventus in January and is eyeing a return to the Premier League.
Burnley confirmed their interest in the midfielder, with Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Everton also keen.
Now the Gunners are allegedly in the chase to re-sign the Wales international, who left them in 2019.
That is according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, who wrote: “Juventus, #Ramsey transfer: #Newcastle and #CrystalPalace options remain valid, still interested in the midfielder.
“Further back – at the moment – the positions of #Everton and #Arsenal”
