Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Gunners ‘step up’ Ivan Toney pursuit, Declan Rice injury LATEST, £60m Ramsdale ‘EXIT’
Arsenal urged to sign Toney
Piers Morgan has urged Arsenal to beat Chelsea to the signing of Brentford star Ivan Toney.
He told talkSPORT: “I think that in January we have to go and get Ivan Toney or someone like him because we need a proper striker.
“Every Arsenal fan knows this and I think we’ve been kidding ourselves for too long that we can exist without one and the truth is that we can’t.”
Saliba on his performance
William Saliba has admitted that he was not happy to have lost a clean sheet against Tottenham and is determined to get one in the next match.
I try to help my team [to get at their] maximum, but I’m not so happy because we didn’t keep a clean sheet.
I hope we’ll keep one in the next game.
Thanks to all the fans, for every game, because we feel better, we feel stronger when they are here.
So, thanks, and we’ll be better for them.

Saliba ‘disappointed’ with draw
William Saliba has admitted that he is “disappointed” that Arsenal could not beat Tottenham in the North London derby.
I’m a little bit disappointed, because we wanted to win in front of our fans. We should have done better, but it’s okay, we drew today, and are already focused on the next game.
We controlled the first half. Unfortunately, we conceded one goal just before the end, but we came back, scored but then we conceded the second goal just after. We have to learn from this game, and for the next game to come.
Because it’s a derby we wanted to win, but at least we didn’t lose because we could have done at the end as we conceded some chances. We’ll do better, learn from this game and come back better.

Supercomputer predicts Arsenal disappointment
A supercomputer has predicted that Arsenal will not win the Premier League this season and will finish lower than last season in third.
Jenas slammed for comments
A referee support charity has criticised BBC presenter Jermaine Jenas for his comments during Sunday’s North London Derby.
Ex-Tottenham midfielder Jenas, who now co-hosts the One Show, as he vented his fury on social media after a penalty was given against Christian Romero.
He tweeted: “Complete s***house off a referee! They’re all ruining our game!”
Jenas’ social media outburst prompted a serious response from RefSupportUK, a charity dedicated to independent training, support and development of referees across the country.
The charity replied: “This is a disgraceful tweet and you should be ashamed.
“Your tweet encourages on line abuse of referees and considering your role on TV your employers need to give their head a wobble.
“Remember Anthony Taylor and his family were attacked at an airport because of antics such as yours.”
Bright Nu hope
Arsenal have joined the bidding war for Club Brugge star Antonio Nusa – dubbed “the next Neymar”.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Marseille are also among at least 20 other clubs understood to be monitoring £30million-rated Nusa.
The 18-year-old is highly rated as he became the second youngest Champions League scorer ever in September 2022 during a 4-0 group win over Porto.
Chelsea had a £26million deadline-day bid rejected for the forward by Brugge.
