Arsenal ace Folarin Balogun trained separately from the rest of his team-mates on Monday as speculation over his future at the club continues.

The United States striker was named part of Arsenal’s 29-man pre-season tour of his homeland.

However, he didn’t feature in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday.

The striker spent last season on loan at Reims, where he scored 22 goals in 39 matches for the Ligue 1 side.

On the end of his loan deal, Balogun said he would seek to leave Arsenal unless he was given assurances over playing time.

With Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus in front of him, it’s unlikely that the American will be given those assurances.

Inter Milan have been linked with a £35m bid for Balogun following the club’s decision to pull out of talks with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku.

And the Italians’ hopes have been raised after Balogun was spotted training alone on Monday at Arsenal’s LA training base.

However, the Serie A club would have to fork out around £50m to sign Balogun as the Daily Mail report that is Arsenal’s asking price for the striker.

Arsenal are seeking to recoup some cash after a £200m outlay on Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz.
