Army holds ‘Aarunya’ workshop to explore talent among pre-primary schools In Udhampur – Times of India
Jammu, Dec 8: In constant endeavour to enkindle love for exploration and experimentation among students, three day ‘Aarunya’-an Integrated Domain Development Workshop specially designed for all Pre-Primary Schools of Udhampur was held at Dhauladhar Army Pre-Primary School, Cantonment, Udhampur from December 6.
PRO Defence Jammu Lt Col Devender Anand said, “The workshop, first of its kind to be organized in Udhampur, is an initiative by Dhauladhar Army Pre Primary School witnessed participation of 375 children from six schools.”
“The workshop was held with an aim to provide the young children a platform to instill and awaken their talents through fun filled activities.”
Col Anand said, “The workshops and activities were specifically woven and designed based on the various domains of learning slated by new National Education Policy 2020 and were conducted by renowned domain specialists with varied experience in their respective domain. Coding, Clay Modelling, Painting, Leaf Art, Word Building, Pottery Making and various other fun filled activities were the highlights of the workshop.”
“Mrs Sunita Dwivedi, Regional President AWWA, Northern Command, Mrs Mahalakshmi Subramani, Vice Regional President AWWA, Northern Command and Mrs Jasbir Kaur, Chairperson FWO, Dah Division and principals of participating schools were present on the concluding session of ‘Aarunya’ workshop and were seen motivating children,” Col Anand added.
