Apple rolls out new iOS15.1 beta ahead of special event next week – Times of India

Apple has started to roll out the fourth beta of iOS 15.1 to public developers for testing purposes. The update comes a week after the company released the third beta and three weeks after the new operating system was officially rolled out for the public. The new beta comes just before the company’s special event next week on October 18. It also indicates that we may be just a few days away from the official public release of iOS 15.1. A report on AppleInsider suggests that the tech giant will officially release the final version of iOS 15.1 in the last week of October, a week after Apple’s special event.
The beta update is bringing new features and fixing the bugs that were spotted by the users after installing the new build. One of the major features that came along with the first beta was SharePlay which the company promised to be a part of iOS 15 but it was removed just before the launch.
The third iOS 15.1 beta added new camera features that the company promised about. The update allowed users to record video with Apple’s ProRes codec. The users have also gained access to the toggle that controls automatic macro mode. If you have signed up as a developer on the Apple Beta page, the update will be available to you in the Settings section. If you haven’t received the update yet, keep checking as it sometimes takes a few minutes to roll out to all registered developers.
Apart from the iOS 15.1 beta 4, the company also rolled out -watchOS 8.1 Developer Beta 4 – Build 19R5566a, tvOS 15.1 Developer Beta 4 – Build 19J5567a, HomePod 15.1 Beta 4 – Build 19J5567a and macOS Monterey 12 Beta 10 – Build 21A5552a.
