Apple reveals ‘fast charge’ trick that works on millions of iPhones
A HIDDEN hack can help iPhone users charge their devices way faster.
It can be frustrating when your iPhone charges too slowly, however, one tool may be able to help.
Some iPhone models have the ability to charge faster than normal by using a “fast charge” cable.
In fact, an iPhone can get up to 50 percent battery in just 30 minutes time using this sort of specific cable.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Apple explained the details on its website while revealing that users need an iPhone 8 or later for this.
To try the fast charge method, first, users need to make sure they have an Apple USB-C to Lightning cable.
Most Apple products will come with this charging cable when you purchase a smartphone, watch, or Macbook.
Next, you need to make sure you have one of these adapters: Apple 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 35W, 61W, 67W, 87W, 96W, or 140W USB-C Power Adapter.
If you’re using a third-party adapter, it’s important to ensure that it can support USB Power Delivery (USB-PD).
“Fast charging might not work in conditions that are too cold or too hot,” Apple explained.
OTHER TIPS
There are a few other things you can do when your device is on low power, such as enabling Low Power Mode.
This helpful iPhone tool helps to extend battery life when your device is running out of juice.
To turn Low Power Mode on or off, go to Settings, then Battery, and toggle on Low Power Mode.
Another setting you can adjust that causes battery drain is having your screen brightness.
Some experts suggest keeping screen brightness somewhere between 65 percent and 70 percent can save you a lot of battery power.
However, you should keep your brightness as low as your eyes can comfortably handle.
To change brightness levels, simply slide your fingers from the top right down on your home screen.
Once you do that, you should see the brightness slider – adjust it as you wish.
