Apple M2-powered Mac Pro: Expected specs
As per the report, the company’s first Mac Pro with Apple Silicon is expected to come powered by the M2 Ultra chipset. This chipset is also likely to power a new version of Mac Studio. The latest Mac Pro was released in 2019 with an Intel processor. The upcoming Mac Pro model is rumoured to retain the same design as the last device. However, the main difference between the upcoming Mac Pro and Mac Studio will be that the Pro variant will allow users to upgrade SSD and GPU.
The report also mentions that the Apple Silicon-powered Mac Pro is expected to have two slots for SSD storage expansion. Along with this, the upcoming Mac Pro model is also rumoured to have different slots for graphics cards, media, and networking. The report didn’t mention how Apple will let users upgrade their GPU on the new machines. The latest Mac Pro models feature support graphics units from AMD. However, Apple may not allow users to upgrade RAM on the new Mac Pro.
Apple macOS Ventura 13.3: When will it release
The latest public version of macOS that is available to all users is macOS Ventura 13.1. Currently, Apple is testing the beta version of macOS Ventura 13.2 with developers and public beta users. This implies that macOS 13.3 is still an internal version which is yet to be announced by the company.
Both macOS Ventura 13.3 and the new M2-powered Mac Pro are likely to be released in spring 2023. Earlier, Gurman also claimed that both macOS 13.2 and iOS 16.3 (which are currently available to developers) will be rolled out to the end users sometime between February and March. Apple is expected to release the first beta version of macOS 13.3 for developers soon after the company officially releases the macOS 13.2.
