Apple fans buzzing as hidden button saves you space on your iPhone for free
APPLE fans are buzzing after a hawk-eyed tech expert noticed a hidden button that can save space on your iPhone.
It’s free and takes one swipe of a toggle to turn on – but there is a catch.
The feature automatically deletes verification codes in Messages and Mail after users use the AutoFill feature.
But it is currently not available to all iPhone users because it is built into iOS 17.
Apple unveiled its new iOS 17 operating system earlier this week, which includes a host of new features, like the big change to the Maps app.
Only a select number of iPhone owners who are part of Apple’s beta programme are currently able to access it.

But they’ve provided us a sneak peak at what’s to come later in the year.
iOS 17 is expected to be available for installation this autumn, or around September when Apple’s iPhone 15 is forecast to hit the shelves.
However, it’s important to make sure that your device is eligible for the system upgrade before you get your hopes too high.
When the feature eventually lands on an iPhone near you, it can be accessed via Settings > Passwords > Passwords options.

iPhone owners are excited for it, with Sami Fathi, the expert who revealed the feature on Twitter, praising the developer behind the new button.
“Give this person a raise,” he tweeted.
However. Android owners were quick to point out that they have had access to this feature “for years.”
Despite this, one Twitter user said the iOS 17 feature was a sign that “it’s time to switch back to iOS.”
