Another holiday hotspot ditches Covid rules for vaxxed Brits

ITALY is the latest country to ease their Covid restrictions for holidaymakers

From today, fully vaccinated Brits no longer need to have a negative Covid test to enter the country.

Arrivals will only need to have proof of both jabs to be allowed to visit Italy.

Unvaxxed travellers can also visit Italy without having to quarantine, with the previous five-day self-isolation rule scrapped.

However, arrivals will still need a negative Covid test if they are yet to be double jabbed.

All visitors also still have to fill in an EU locator form to enter Italy, and face masks remain mandatory at most indoor venues.

Families also face restrictions in Italy if travelling with younger kids, due to some rules still in place.

This includes kids between 12 and 17 still needing negative Covid tests to enter Italy, while kids over 12 are essentially banned from cafes and restaurants, as they are not eligible for the Super Green Pas required to enter due to not being fully vaccinated.

Most countries in Europe and other holiday hotspots have started lifted their Covid restrictions ahead of the summer holidays.

Tunisia no longer requires kids up to the age of 18 to have any vaccine passports or Covid tests to enter the country.

This is similar to Spain who has lifted more of its vaccine restrictions, after it scrapped the rules requiring teenagers to have both jabs to enter.

Dubai no longer requires tests from vaccinated arrivals.

And Iceland has lifted all of their Covid travel restrictions, including for unvaxxed holidaymakers.

Brits can return to the UK easier too after the UK lifted nearly all of the travel restrictions for holidaymakers, with Covid tests no longer required from vaccinated travellers.

Arrivals only need to fill in a Passenger Locator Form, although it is hoped this could be scrapped by Easter.

Unvaccinated arrivals must still pay for pre-arrival and day two Covid tests.
