Angel Reese flashes ring gesture with fellow LSU champs Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase

A few of LSU’s best reunited at Tiger Stadium for the university’s spring football game on Saturday.

At the annual game, recent national champion and Most Outstanding Player Angel Reese posed for photos with fellow LSU champions Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, making her signature ring gesture.

Reese, in her first year at LSU, led the Tigers women’s basketball team to their first national championship in program history, famously taunting Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark in the title game with the gesture that sparked controversy over social media.

The soon-to-be junior forward averaged 23 points and 15.4 rebounds per contest while setting an all-time Division I women’s basketball record with 34 double-doubles.

Bengals teammates Burrow and Chase notably led LSU past Clemson in the 2020 national championship game, 42-25, concluding the Tigers season with a 15-0 record.

Burrow threw for 463 yards and six touchdowns while Chase recorded nine receptions for 221 yards and two touchdowns in that game.

The wide receiver also broke the receiving record held by Alabama’s O.J. Howard of 208 yards by a player in a College Football Playoff game — semifinal or final.

The pair were coincidentally both drafted by Cincinnati — Burrow in 2020 and Chase in 2021 — and since then the Bengals have made a Super Bowl LVI appearance in the 2021 season against the Rams and recently fell to the Chiefs in the AFC championship game this past season.

While Reese isn’t eligible yet to join WNBA, her NIL worth has skyrocketed since getting her championship ring, bringing in a number of deals with Calvin Klein, Bose, Coach, Raising Cane’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Leaf Trading Cards and Bleacher Report.

The basketball star has also since accumulated over one million Instagram followers.

“The days of underexposure, underinvestment and underrepresentation are over,” Reese said in a partnered video with the artificial intelligence company Caktus AI. “We pushed boundaries, and the world’s taking notice. This is only the beginning. Lean in or lose.”
