Angad Bedi roped in for the Hindi remake for The Great Indian Kitchen
Hindi remakes are a common sight in Bollywood, owing to the success rate of South Indian films. One of such Malayalam hits is Jeo Baby’s directorial The Great Indian Kitchen. Rumours were rife that a lot many producers were racing towards getting the filming rights for the Hindi remake of this project and finally producers Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri have managed to crack a deal. The latest updates on the news suggest that Angad Bedi has been roped in to play the lead role in this Hindi remake of The Great Indian Kitchen.
An entertainment daily reported on the same, stating, “Angad will reprise the role played by Suraj Venjaramoodu in the original. Director Arati Kadav and the producers felt that Angad suits the part well, and the formalities were locked recently. The movie is expected to roll in May or June,” informs a source close to the development. The Great Indian Kitchen was released last year and received a lot of critical acclaim. It even bagged a few Kerala State Film Awards. Reportedly, actress Sanya Malhotra has been roped in to play the female lead. This will be the first time that Angad and Sanya will be working together.
Speaking of Angad’s ongoing projects, he has R Balki’s Ghoomer and has just wrapped up his first schedule for Panchgani. Saiyami Kher is playing the female lead opposite Angad in Ghoomer and there is a romantic angle to look forward to in the storyline.
Angad’s last screen outing was in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl by Sharan Sharma and his acclaimed OTT series Inside Edge Season 1,2 and 3.
