Andy Cohen ‘girding loins’ ahead of Vanderpump Rules reunion after cheat drama
Andy Cohen had his say on the Vanderpump Rules drama after it was alleged that Tom Sandoval had cheated on Ariana Madix with co-star Raquel Leviss.
All eyes have been on the Bravo cast for the last few days, after the former couple’s nine-year relationship imploded over the claims.
‘This is a reunion that’s going to be… I’m girding my loins,’ he announced, via People Magazine.
During the program, the 54-year-old also took the opportunity to look back over recent episodes of his Watch What Happens Live shows, in which he discussed an ‘interesting’ moment with Vanderpump Rules stars Scheana Shay and Leviss, who had previously been linked to castmate Tom Schwartz – Sandoval’s close friend and business partner.
‘This is reverberating,’ he continued. ‘[On] Wednesday night, Scheana was on Watch What Happens Live with Raquel and we played a game called the BFF test, where I read a statement and both the guests answer at the same time and we see if their answers match.
‘I said, “Who is the cuter Tom, Sandoval or Schwartz?” They both said Sandoval. I looked up and said to Raquel, “Oh, you said Sandoval” and we then moved on.
‘During the commercial break, I guess Scheana’s antenna was up… Scheana said to Raquel, “I only picked Sandoval because I knew that you were going to pick Schwartz.”
‘Raquel said, “Well, Sandoval has abs,” and shrugged. That was interesting … I didn’t think twice about it.’
The trio have been embroiled in scandal after multiple sources told Page Six that Leviss and Sandoval had a ‘full on affair’, alleging that they had been ‘communicating inappropriately for months’.
According to TMZ, Madix called time on her long-term relationship with the businessman after learning that he was unfaithful.
Sandoval has since addressed the scandal in a social media post, urging upset fans not to take the situation out on those close to him.
‘I fully understand and deserve ur anger & disappointment towards me, but please leave Schwartz, my friends and family out of this situation,’ he began a lengthy statement.
‘Schwartz specifically only found out about this very recently, and most definitely did not condone my actions. This was a very personal thing.
‘Also, Schwartz & Sandy’s might have my name on it, but also there are three other partners and 20 employees, who especially rely on the restaurant for income for them and their families. Just like TomTom, I’m a small part of a much bigger thing.
‘Please direct ur anger towards me and not the, they did nothing wrong. I’m so sorry that my partners, Greg, Brett and Schwartz and our employees have to suffer for my actions [sic].’
He concluded the post: ‘I will be taking a step back & taking a hiatus out of respect for my employees & partners. I need some time to address everything else. Sorry for everything.’
Both Madix and Leviss are yet to speak out on the news.
