Amy Macdonald has pleaded with fans not to show up at her home.
The Scottish singer-songwriter, 35, also suggested a recent fan encounter had gone too far in a message shared on Sunday.
The hitmaker wrote on Instagram: ‘I am so grateful for all my amazing fans but it’s never okay to turn up at my home.’
Amy added: ‘Please don’t do it. It’s incredibly scary for me as innocent as it may be.’
While the star didn’t share any further details, her remark about the situation being ‘incredibly scary’ suggests fans had located her home address in the past.
The urgent message was shared with Amy’s 157,000 followers.
Amy’s latest social media message comes weeks after she jokingly called on Glasgow City Council to fix the city’s potholes by hilariously suggesting the council call in none other than A-lister Arnold Schwarzenegger to get the job done.
Retweeting a video of 75-year-old Arnold tending to potholes last month, Amy wrote: ‘Get him phoned @GlasgowCC.’
As it turns out, Arnold wasn’t actually filling in a pothole, but an important service trench.
At the time, Arnold wrote on social media: ‘Today, after the whole neighbourhood has been upset about this giant pothole that’s been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it.’
But the ‘pothole’ was in fact a service trench dug by SoCalGas that relates to active work being performed by the company.
‘This location is not a pothole,’ a spokesperson said.
‘It’s a service trench that relates to active, permitted work being performed at the location by SoCalGas, who expects the work to be completed by the end of May.
‘As is the case with similar projects impacting city streets, SoCal Gas will be required to repair the area once their work is completed.’
