AMD Releases Ryzen 5000 G-Series CPUs With Integrated Graphics, India Prices Revealed

AMD has released its Ryzen 5000 G-Series processors in India, whose integrated Radeon graphics should come in handy as PC gamers wait patiently for discrete GPU prices to drop further. The new CPUs are essentially the same as last year’s Ryzen 5000 series, built on the Zen 3 architecture, but now with the added benefit of integrated Radeon graphics which is pretty decent for esports and AAA gaming on low details at 1080p.

AMD Ryzen 5000 G-Series Features and Specs

Ryzen 5000 G-Series supports the recently introduced AMD FSR

The two new CPUs – Ryzen 5 5600G and Ryzen 7 5700G, both include support for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), which is seeing increasing adoption in games since its debut in June this year. Here’s how both CPUs stand next to each other:

CPU Cores/Threads Base/Boost Clock Cache i-GPU Specs Power Draw
Ryzen 5 5600G 6 cores, 12 threads 3.9 GHz, 4.4 GHz 19MB Cache 7 CUs, 1.9 GHz 65W TDP
Ryzen 7 5700G 8 cores, 16 threads 3.8 GHz, 4.6 GHz 20MB Cache 8 CUs, 1.9 GHz 65W TDP

AMD claims that the integrated graphics are good enough to play CPU-heavy games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Metro: Exodus at around 35-45fps depending on the processor on low settings at 1080p. Performance in esports titles such as CSGO, Fortnite and League of Legends seems to be well above 100fps at 1080p, which is pretty good for integrated graphics. The Zen 3 processors are well known for reaching high frequencies in clock speeds which help a lot in esports titles, and they also offer good performance in content creation apps. While the graphics present here aren’t good enough for anybody to really push their system hard on the latest AAA titles, it’s nice to see AMD finally release them to the DIY market and not lock them behind all-in-one systems.
