Amazon to restart ads on Twitter: report
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple has already resumed advertising on the micro-blogging site. The report cited comments by Twitter CEO Elon Musk during a Twitter Spaces session which more than 90,000 people joined.
Musk, in tweets posted last week, accused Apple of withdrawing its advertising from the social media platform and also claimed it had threatened to remove Twitter from the App Store without specifying why.
He took back this claim after meeting Apple CEO Tim Cook at the company’s headquarters, saying the Cook clarified that Apple had never considered dropping Twitter from the App Store.
This Amazon development comes after companies have been pulling down their ads and marketing campaigns from Twitter since the Tesla CEO took over the social media company in October.
According to a study by Media Matter in America, 50 of the top 100 advertisers on Twitter spent more than $750 million on advertising in 2022 alone.
