Amazon releases Fire TV Stick 4K Max streaming device at Rs 6,499 – Times of India

Amazon has officially launched its most powerful streaming stick yet, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. The e-tailer giant has claimed that this new streaming device is 40% more powerful than Fire TV Stick 4K, with faster app starts and more fluid navigation.
Here are some of the key features and details about the newly released Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
Cinematic Experience:
Users can watch some selected titles in vibrant 4K Ultra HD with support for Dolby Vision, HDR, HDR10+ and immersive Dolby Atmos audio. Pay the subscription fees for your favourite OTT platform(s) and stream thousands of movies and TV episodes that will be available with this streaming device, as it promises endless entertainment.
However, to watch movies and TV shows in 4K Ultra HD, you need a compatible Ultra HD TV and content in 4K. All streaming services may not be available in 4K/HDR. It goes the same for Dolby Atmos, which is available only on select Prime Video, Netflix, and Disney+ Hotstar titles when connected to compatible equipment.
You can also watch regular live TV channels, news and sports with subscriptions to SonyLIV, Voot, Discovery+, and other platforms.
Connectivity:
This new streaming device is compatible with the next-gen Wi-Fi 6 routers. You can now enjoy smoother 4K streaming across multiple Wi-Fi 6 devices.
However, to use Wi-Fi 6, you’ll need a Wi-Fi 6-compatible router, but that won’t stop you from using the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. This new streaming device from Amazon is also compatible with the existing Wi-Fi routers.
Voice Control:
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is enabled with Alexa Voice control. With this you can easily search and launch content with your voice. There are customisable preset buttons for you to get to your favorite apps quickly. Control power and volume with the same remote.
You can also use Alexa on your Fire TV Stick 4K Max to view live camera feed, without pausing your show, with picture in picture view. You can also use plugs and other compatible smart home devices with your Alexa Voice Remote. Plus, play music, check the weather, listen to the news on and more on your TV — just ask Alexa.
Technical Specifications:
This new streaming device comes with 8GB storage and 2GB RAM. It runs on a quad-core processor with CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and GPU at 750MHz and is compatible with Bluetooth 5.0 + LE.
The Alexa voice remote weighs around 43 grams without batteries.
