Amazon offers Fire TV Stick rival with bigger features at much smaller price

The Amazon Fire TV Stick might be the most popular streaming device on the planet but there could be a big reason to try something else instead. Roku has just announced a massive price cut on its Streambar device which not only offers instant access to popular apps such as Netflix, Disney+ and Prime but also a built-in speaker as well.

That means you can pop it under your telly and get an instant boost to the way boxset binges and movie marathons sound.

This premium device usually costs a very hefty £129.99 but the special offer has knocked a whopping £70 off that price. That means you can pop it in your shopping basket for just £59.99.

That makes it cheaper than the £64.99 Fire TV Stick Max and the same price as Fire TV Stick 4K. Plug the Streambar into your telly and you’ll get boosted audio courtesy of Dolby Audio and four internal speakers that Roku promises will fill your room with sound.

Other features packed inside the Streambar include a voice remote that offers instant access to the Alexa and Google Assistant.

There are also volume modes that reduce the sound during adverts and there’s the option to boost the noise of voices so you can hear what’s being said on the screen.
