Amanda Holden stunned fans as she donned golden ball gown in Tesco car park

Amanda Holden looked majestic as she mastered the royal wave in a Tesco car park. The Britain’s Got Talent judge was the picture of regal composure as she was transported in the back of a horse-drawn carriage for a TV advert shoot in east London.

The 52-year-old wore a beaded gold ball gown adorned with gems and ruffles. The extravagant gown was so long it trailed behind her as she took her seat in the grand carriage driven by a suitably attired horseman.

Amanda took great delight in hamming it up as a queen for the cameras, waving and smiling from ear to ear.

This is not the first time Amanda has imitated royalty. In 2011 she played Princess Fiona in the West End production of Shrek, complete with a prosthetic nose and ogre ears.

Amanda’s regal attire is a far cry from the usual skimpy outfits fans have become used to seeing her in.

Last month Amanda even admitted to feeling the need to “cover up” for an event at her daughter’s school.

She had spent the morning at Heart Radio wearing an ab-baring bodycon dress.

The mum-of-two looked summery in the yellow dress which showed off her age-defying figure with a daring cut-out section over her midriff.

She said in a clip: “It’s nice and stretchy, it’s got the split so it’s perfect – I don’t know, for Ascot, for weddings, for christenings, summer parties.”

The actress added while wrapping the jacket back around her shoulders: “And then if you want to cover up a bit because I’m judging a cake competition today at my daughter’s school, I thought I should look a little bit more formal.”
