Amanda Holden, 51, unveils her bloated tummy after indulgent meal

Amanda Holden, 51, normally flaunts her slimline silhouette in a variety of figure-hugging dresses – and even when they leave little to the imagination, there is still barely a single flaw on show. Yet yesterday, the Heart FM Breakfast show host arrived at the radio studios feeling a little more self-conscious than usual.

Having gorged on a delicious, yet “massive”, roast dinner, plus a generous helping of carbs over the weekend, Amanda wasn’t sure she could beat the bloating.

She took to Instagram to confide in her 1.8 million followers about her insecurities.

“Over the weekend I made a roast dinner – a massive one – and I had mac and cheese so it is a bit of an effort breathing in all day,” she lamented.

The star then dramatically stopped sucking her stomach in, leaving fans to observe the small bulge that had appeared around her midriff.

“If I didn’t [hold my breath in], I’d look like this,” she announced, pouting mournfully at the minor imperfection.

However, Amanda consoled herself with one of her favourite outfits – a Karen Millen lime bodycon dress – and shared with fans: “I absolutely love the colour green.”

She also went totally braless in the midi dress, putting her assets on display.

Previously, Amanda seemingly made a controversial remark during her broadcast last week, targeting Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield over their ‘queue gate’ drama.

The presenting duo had sparked outrage amongst Brits ahead of the Queen’s funeral, when they’d entered Westminster through a press gallery instead of queuing along with other celebrities such as Susanna Reid and David Beckham, during the lying in state period.

Amanda made the none too subtle dig when she and co-host Ashley Roberts were discussing ex-footballer Beckham.

“So David has landed a seven-figure deal with Qatar’s World Cup sponsor, Doritos,” the former Pussycat Doll exclaimed, before adding: “I love Doritos. I’d love a seven-figure deal.”

“Get in line,” Amanda quipped, before adding: “Well, I mean he did get in line. Good on him!”

Ashley marvelled in response that she believed David had waited for “14 hours” to catch a glimpse of the Queen’s coffin.

Meanwhile, reports previously claimed Amanda has an ongoing feud with Phillip Schofield over beliefs that he’d had her invitation to present on This Morning withdrawn back in 2018.

There had been an opportunity for Amanda to cover for Holly while she travelled to Australia to film I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! but the job was then given to Rochelle Humes instead.

In the aftermath, Amanda had confessed on an earlier episode of her Heart breakfast show that there were just three things she would never want to find in her home – “Spiders, flies and Phillip Schofield.”

The Britain’s Got Talent judge also used her radio show to confirm a feud between the pair.

She claimed that when she eventually tried to clear the air over a text message, there had been no response from Phil.

She told her co-host Jamie Theakston in 2019: “I’ve moved on from it, Jamie, you need to move on from it [too].”

Express.co.uk contacted representatives for This Morning and Schofield for comment at the time.

Yet it now seems she could have reignited the flames of controversy with her cheeky comment about queue-jumping, though Phillip has not publicly responded to her comment.
