Sir Micheal Caine, 88, has opened up about his health in a new interview as he shared concerns about his generation. The Hollywood legend has admitted he struggles to walk as he made the candid admission about his friends “dying”.

Micheal, who has starred in films since 1953, has opened up about missing people as many of his friends have died.

The star admitted he was not nostalgic for his old films, but was for those he’d lost.

He said: “My generation is going. All my friends are dying off.

“Because we all got so old. Roger Moore, Sean Connery – those are two of my closest friends who went.

“Then a couple of days ago, Johnny Gold, who owned Tramp, the discotheque in London,” the star added to the Guardian.

The actor also opened up about his own health in the candid chat today.

He admitted he walks with a stick as he has difficulties with his leg and his spine.

The beloved star shared how he rarely leaves the house except for when his wife takes him out for a drive.

He then added: “There haven’t been any offers, obviously, for two years. Because nobody’s been making any movies I’d want to do.

“But also, I’m 88. There’s not exactly scripts pouring out where the leading man is 88.”

However, despite saying he’s probably done with films, Michael has opened up about not being retired.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, he wrote: “I haven’t retired and not a lot of people know that.”

Michael also opened up to Variety about being still keen to work.
