Alexa fans rush to buy accessory that makes life easier scanning for only 99p

AMAZON is currently running a promotion for smart lightbulbs that are perfect for Alexa fans.

Philips Hue is the biggest brand of smart home gadgets around.

It allows you to control your lighting with an iPhone or Android device.

But more exciting is the ability to switch them on or off with your voice if you have a smart speaker like Alexa-enabled Amazon Echo devices.

Usually Philips Hue doesn’t come cheap.

However, some lucky Amazon shoppers are able to get a huge discount.

The white LED smart light bulb 1 pack (B22 Bayonet Cap) usually costs £13.99.

But selected account holders have noticed you can bag them for just 99p at the moment.

It’s not clear what the criteria is for being eligible for the offer, so you’ll have to sign in and see if you’re lucky enough.

If you are, you should see a “redeem” button under the normal price which reads, “Get this product for £0.99”.

The great thing about it is you don’t even need the pricey Philips Hue Bridge kit to connect with your Alexa.

All Echo speakers except the first generation come equipped with the ability to control Hue bulbs inside.
