Alex Beresford slams Meghan Markle’s father for ‘slating’ Duchess on GMB

Thomas Markle joined Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley on Good Morning Britain as he shared his desire to reunite with his daughter Meghan Markle and to meet his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet. But his “motivation” was questioned by weather presenter Alex Beresford who fumed over the Duchess’ dad’s comments on the ITV show.

The 41-year-old took to Twitter and defended Meghan’s decision as he addressed their estranged relationship.

The GMB star claimed that each time Thomas does an interview he “reveals something new” about his daughter.

During the interview, Thomas branded the Duchess “silly” and “childish”, but has suggested he could take legal action in order to get access to his grandchildren.

He also claimed that Meghan has “disowned both sides of her family”.

In view of his 248,000 followers, Alex penned: “I don’t understand Thomas Markle’s motivation?

“He says he wants to make up with his daughter, which I’m sure he does, but each time he does an interview he slates her and ‘reveals’ something new, then expects Meghan to let him back in. It hasn’t worked thus far.”

Addressing his daughter on the ITV show, Thomas discussed their relationship.

He told GMB: “I don’t know what changed. She’d never been that way before.

“Piers [Morgan] was right, we all get ghosted.”

His remarks come after Piers previously told Ryan Tubridy on RTÉ’s The Late Late Show that he never heard from Meghan after their meeting.

“We spent two hours in a pub, she had a couple of dirty martinis, I had a couple of pints, we got on brilliantly,” he said at the time.

“And then I put her in a cab, and it turned out to be a cab which took her to a party where she met Prince Harry.
