Ajay Devgn and Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3 to reportedly be shot simultaneously in Hindi and Malayalam
Following the enormous popularity of the first two Drishyam films, the makers are currently preparing for the third instalment of the suspense thriller. As per the latest reports, Drishyam 3 is said to be released in 2024 in both Hindi and Malayalam versions together on the same date.
According to the reports by a leading news portal, “Abhishek Pathak and his team of writers have cracked a basic core plot for Drishyam 3, which Jeethu Joseph and his team loved. They have taken the idea from the team of Hindi Drishyam and are now working towards developing it into a screenplay for Drishyam 3.”
A source close to the news portal stated that the teams behind the Hindi and Malayalam versions of Drishyam are collaborating to film both movies together with the ultimate goal of releasing them simultaneously throughout India. The plan is for Drishyam 3 to be filmed and released on the same date, with Mohanlal playing George Kutty in the Malayalam version and Ajay Devgn portraying Vijay Salgaonkar in the Hindi version. If the screenplay is finalised, the Telugu Drishyam producers may also participate in this plan for a nationwide simultaneous release.
The reason for this decision is to provide viewers with a spoiler-free experience. The makers of Drishyam recognize that suspense is a crucial aspect of the film, and they want to ensure that all audiences have the same opportunity to enjoy the twists and turns without prior knowledge. With Drishyam 3 being the final film in the series, the team wants to create a chilling and thrilling experience for all viewers, and they believe this simultaneous release strategy will accomplish that goal.
The plot of Drishyam revolves around a man’s efforts to protect his family from the consequences of a string of events that could potentially ruin their existence.
