Airtel announces a new prepaid plan with 35 days validity and unlimited calling: All the details – Times of India
Airtel Rs 289 prepaid plan: Validity, data and more
The first thing you need to know about the plan is that it is priced at Rs 289 and it comes with 35 days of validity. This is pretty odd considering Airtel currently does not have any plan that comes with 35 days of validity.
The plan comes with 4GB of data and 300 SMS. In addition, the plan also offers unlimited voice calling for both local and STD. Moreover, the plan also comes with Airtel Thanks benefits which include Apollo 24|7 Circle, free Hellotunes and Wynk Music Free.
Also, the plan will include unlimited 5G data benefits.
What’s different about this plan
First, the Rs 289 prepaid plan is odd due to the validity it offers. No other telecom service provider offers a plan that comes with 35 days validity. Apart from that, the plan offers all the benefits as other unlimited prepaid plans. The only catch here is that 4GB upfront data clearly indicates that the plan prioritises validity over data.
The thing is Airtel currently offers unlimited 5G data benefits with all the plans starting from Rs 239. This means this plan will also include the unlimited data benefits on the 5G network. That solves the data issue for users.
Rs 289 plan alternative
Airtel also offers a Rs 199 prepaid plan that also brings more validity over data. The plan comes with 3GB upfront data and comes with 30 days validity. The notable part here is that the plan only offers Rs 5 talktime which means, users will have to pay more to make calls with this plan. Also, due to Airtel’s policy, the plan is also not a part of unlimited 5G data benefit.
