AI predicts who will be next UK prime minister after Liz Truss resigns

ARTIFICIAL intelligence has predicted that Boris Johnson will return to being the UK Prime Minister in the wake of Liz Truss resigning today.

The popular Craiyon AI, formerly DALL-E mini AI image generator, conjured up several images that look eerily like Boris Johnson when asked “who will the new UK Prime Minster be?”.

The AI has been trained to create images using unfiltered data from the internet.

It can then come up with an image based on keyword prompts.

When asked to predict the next UK Prime Minister, the AI provided images that look a lot like the former leader of the conservative government.

However, the Craiyon AI is notoriously bad at creating human faces, leaving Johnson looking a little worse for wear.

The Craiyon website explains that human faces are “a limitation of our current image encoder.

It adds: “We are working on developing a better solution.”

Craiyon has a reputation for creating ‘creepy’ images due to the current limitations in its designs.

Earlier this year, DALL-E mini image generator started going viral after the internet discovered its ability to create funny and disturbing images.

DALL-E mini has since changed its name to Craiyon and is in the process of redirecting users to its new website.

The change came to avoid confusion with another AI called DALL-E which was created by OpenAI and can also conjure up unusual images.

Since going viral, social media has been full of examples of people asking the Craiyon AI to depict futuristic events.

The request to predict the next British Prime Minister comes as the UK waits to hear who will step into Truss’ shoes after she stepped down following just 44 days in office.

A Tory leadership race will now begin and a new PM will be chosen by next Friday.

Truss’s dramatic resignation after just six weeks in office makes her the shortest-serving premier the UK has ever had.

She became Prime Minister after Johnson was forced to resign in July.

And already MPs are lining up to say they could stand to replace her.

The former PM, Mr Johnson, is considering running to stand again, it was revealed earlier today.

One of his close allies, Nigel Adams, is said to be doing a ring around on his behalf to see if he’s got enough support.

Standing outside No10 this afternoon, Truss said: “I came into office at a time of great economic and international instability.

Families and businesses were worried about how to pay their bills. Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine threatens the security of our whole continent.

“I was elected by the Conservative Party with a mandate to change this.

“I recognize though, given the situation, I cannot deliver the mandate on which I was elected by the Conservative Party.

“I have therefore spoken to His Majesty The King to notify him that I am resigning as Leader of the Conservative Party.”
