AHSEC HS Result 2022: Assam Class 12th Science, Arts results best in 10 years, barring inflated results on 2021 – Times of India

GUWAHATI: Leaving out last year’s inflated pass percentage of over 99 due to formula-based evaluation amid Covid situation, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) recorded its best results in the last 10 years in Science and Arts streams. While the success rate in Science touched 92.19 per cent this year, the corresponding figure in Arts was recorded to be 83.48 per cent. The results were declared at 9 am on Monday.

Except for the previous year’s unusually high pass percentage of 99.57 per cent, Commerce students, too, produced impressive results which stood to be 87.26 pass percent. In Vocational stream, the pass percentage was recorded to be 89.30 per cent.

Among the regular candidates, girls outshone the boys in all four streams. In Science, the girls pass percentage was 93.20 percent, whereas that of the boys stood at 90.65.

In Commerce, the pass percentage of girls and boys were recorded to be 89.79 and 84.66 per cent respectively.

The success rate of girls in Arts was 85.19 per cent against 81.44 per cent of the boys. In the Vocational stream 93.81 per cent girl passed against 87.65 per cent boys.

Dhritiraj Bastav Kalita is the state topper in Science. A student of Deomornoi Higher Secondary School, Darrang, Dhritiraj scored 491 out of 500 marks.

Sadhana Devi of Kamrupa Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Kamrup and Cherry Gohain of Womens College, Tinsukia are joint toppers in Arts. Both of them scored 487 aggregate marks out of 500.

In Commerce, Sagar Agarwal topped from Vivekananda Senior Secondary School, Cachar. Sagar scored 482 aggregate marks out of 500.
