Agent claims Eagles are interested in Dynamo Moscow midfielder

DYNAMO MOSCOW midfielder Daniil Fomin is of “interest” for the Eagles according to his agent.

Fomin’s agent Alexander Manyakov has suggested that the midfielder was the club’s second choice behind Manchester United’s Donny Van de Beek.

The Red Devils midfielder joined Everton on loan and a Palace move for Fomin could not materialise due to the lack of time left in the window the agent has claimed.

However, the club could now make a move for the 24-year-old who has scored seven goals in all competitions this season as a replacement for Conor Gallagher who is likely to return to Chelsea at the end of his loan move.

Speaking to Championat, Manyakov said: “I have voice messages on my phone from a person at Crystal Palace who influences the club’s transfer policy,” explains Manyakov.

“He says in plain text: ‘I really like Fomin, he is one of the candidates, but we are now focused on acquiring van de Beek.’

“The Dutchman did not go to Crystal Palace but ended up in Everton.

“And there was practically no time to carry out the transition of Fomin before the closing of the window.

“I will say right away that there was no specific proposal for Daniil. But I can confirm the interest of Crystal Palace.”
