Age of Empires Mythology: Retold and Age of Empires Mobile Officially Announced Along With AoE 4 Anniversary Edition, 25 Year Celebration and More; All We Know

Age of Mythology is coming back. Xbox and Age of Empires series developers, World’s Edge, held a live broadcast to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the series. New and exciting announcements were made during the event which Age of Empire fans are surely going to love. At the event, it was officially announced that Age of Mythology will get a remaster via a new teaser trailer.

Dubbed Age of Mythology: Retold, Xbox said that the game will feature beautiful graphics, updated gameplay features, and more. The real-time strategy game was launched in 2002 and takes inspiration from Greek, Egyptian, and Norse mythology and legends, which is a departure from historical events.

Age of Empires will also get a mobile game. The company announced that the game is “uniquely designed, visually stunning game [that] will allow you to build your empire on the go.” The company assured that more will be shared about the game in the distant future.

Age of Empires IV will also get an Anniversary Edition with Season Three: Anniversary Update. The update includes new civilisations, challenges, achievements, features, and more. “Whether you’re interested in creating new strategies with the Malians and Ottomans, building your skillset with challenges, competing in 1v1 Solo Ranked or competing with friends in the all-new Team Ranked, or earning a set of Age-themed rewards, there’s something for every playstyle coming your way with the Season Three: Anniversary,” the company said.

Age of Empires is also heading into the console age, as the games will hit Xbox consoles in 2023. The company announced that two games from the series will launch on console: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition arrives on Xbox on January 31, 2023, with Age of Empires IV coming to consoles later in the year.
