Jawa and Yezdi have not been able to recreate the magic of yesteryears. Together, the twin brands have been averaging retail sales of around 3,000-3,500 units monthly and had a 0.25% market share in February. Where do the iconic motorcycle brands go from here?
From their first launch in 1960 till the late 90s, the Jawa-Yezdi motorcycle brands had a cult following in India. Many hearts broke when the Czech brand stopped production in 1996.So, 22 years later in November 2018, when Jawa made a comeback with its 293cc Jawa and Jawa Forty Two, bike enthusiasts swamped the company with bookings. The script was repeated when Classic Legends, the company licensed to manufacture and market Jawa in India,
