Adorable cat with a wonky eye needs a new forever home – can you help?
Meet Lily, the domestic long-haired cat with lots of love to give who needs a new home.
Lily, who was born in 2017, has got a uniquely adorable appearance.
The moggy was born blind in her left eye, which has left her looking a scooch asymmetrical.
She’s currently being fostered in Bexhill, East Sussex while charity Paws and Whiskers Sussex try to find her a new home after her previous owner became unable to care for her any longer.
But poor Lily has been waiting for three months.
‘If you’ve followed us for any length of time, you’ll know we adore our wonky paws,’ said a spokesperson for PAWS.
‘And they don’t come much more adorable than Lily.
‘Born blind in one eye, she doesn’t know any difference and adapts to new environments amazingly well.
‘Lily would be a brilliant addition to any home with other pets or children.
‘Her only requirement is a quiet area away from busy roads or a secure garden for safety reasons.
‘Alternatively, she would be happy to remain indoors.’
As the charity has written on its Facebook page, Lily might be shy at first, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up to someone new.
A post reads: ‘Her favourite activity is being brushed which has been a brilliant bonding exercise for her in foster.
‘Being long-hared she will require frequent brushing to prevent matting.’
She’s also developed ‘a lovely relationship’ with the two children, aged six and nine, who she’s being fostered with.
‘Lily can live with calm children who will allow her to approach on her own terms’, the post goes on. ‘She will come running at the sight of her brush!’
Commenters on social media have fallen head over heels for the moggy, with one writing: ‘Gorgeous lady! I have quirky eyes too.’
‘Awww Lily is beautiful!’ said another.
