Actress reveals where to check in a hotel room after very nasty surprise
NEXT time you’re staying at a hotel, you need to make sure to check one area in particular – according to one Hollywood actor.
Issa Rae who starred in the blockbuster film The Hate U Give as well as a number of other television shows explained why she always checks hotel wardrobes.
Speaking to Bloomberg, she said: “When I go to my room, I look in all the top corners and bottom corners by the floor and the ceiling.”
The Hollywood star explained the importance of hotel cleanliness to her.
If she spots dust in the corners of the room, she knows that the hotel isn’t serious about their cleaning regime.
“One time, I went to a hotel and I didn’t check the top of the closet.
“I had a visitor coming in – someone who is very important to me – and they went into the closet and discovered a condom there that I had just been living with.
“I was too short, so I couldn’t see it – it was just there.”
Issa Rae joked that a basketball player must’ve been staying at the hotel beforehand for a condom to be left in the top of a closet.
It’s safe to say she has never neglected a wardrobe since.
Meanwhile Henry Golding, who starred in the blockbuster film Crazy Rich Asians always packs hotel slippers in his suitcase.
Failing that, he says get some super cheap flip flops to pack in your hand luggage, because he says hotel and plane floors are too disgusting to walk barefoot on.
Also speaking to Bloomberg, he said: “The carpets in most business hotels are just absolutely filthy and disgusting.
“So I would wear my flip-flops everywhere, even in the shower. I either bring the free hotel slippers they give you [at five-star hotels] or a pair of Havaianas or Chacos.
“Trust me, you do not want to see what is on those floors.”
Kaley Cuoco believes that passengers should tip their flight attendants.
And TikToker Neat Caroline shared the six things she checks when entering any hotel room including grout lines in the bathroom tiles and underneath objects for dust.
